Two youths from east Jerusalem were arrested Thursday on suspicion of violating and shattering 25 gravestones in the Mount of Olives Cemetery in recent months.
Police suspect the two harmed the graves in order to extract and sell copper.
The youths were remanded for one day.
Police said additional arrests were forthcoming in connection with the case.
