Education Ministry experts to answer parents' web queries

Panicked parents awaiting the start of the new school year this Wednesday may be able to find some digital answers to calm their nerves, through an online forum run by the Education Ministry.

On Monday between 2pm and 4pm, the gov.il forum will host two top consultants from the education ministry to field questions sent in by parents to the forum. The consultants, Ella Elgrisi and Hava Friedman are both senior members of the psychology branch of the Education Ministry and will focus on answering questions from parents whose children face emotional or social problems in school.

The Education Ministry issued a number of sample questions to prompt parents, such as "how do I prepare my child for first grade" and "what do I do if my child doesn't have any friends at school," among others.
