Egypt opposition denounces referendum 'fraud,' plans appeal

Egypt’s main opposition body, citing “fraud and violations,” on Sunday announced it would appeal the results of the country's referendum that apparently approved a new Islamist-drafted constitution, Al Arabiya reported.
The National Salvation Front released a statement vowing to “continue the fight for the Egyptian people,” a day after the second and final round of a constitutional referendum that reportedly passed with 64 percent support.
“The referendum is not the end of the road. It is only one battle," the statement read.
The official results of the vote were scheduled to be released on Monday. If, as expected, the constitution was approved, a parliamentary election take place in about two months.
