Egypt: Schalit talks in final stages, 90% of obstacles to deal removed

Negotiations between Israel and Hamas over a prisoner exchange deal to secure the release of captured IDF soldier St.-Sgt. Gilad Schalit are already in their final stages, Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hussam Zaci said on Sunday morning. Speaking on Israel Radio, Zaci asserted that Egypt had solved 90 percent of the issues which had previously stood in the way of a deal. He added that Hamas had accepted the condition whereby controversial security prisoners would be expelled from the West Bank if and when a swap agreement was reached.
