Egypt to consider Cairo exhibition hall for Mubarak trial

Justice Minister Abdalaziz El Gendi has established a committee to determine whether an exhibition hall in Cairo's Nasr City can be used for the trial of deposed prime minister Hosni Mubarak, Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram reported Thursday.
Mubarak, toppled in February by a popular uprising, has been in hospital in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh since April when he was first questioned by the authorities. He has been charged with involvement in the killing of protesters and abuse of power and is due to stand trial on Aug. 3.
