Egyptian ambassador says Schalit deal won't be the last one

Egyptian Ambassador to the Palestinian territories Yasser Othman said that he hoped the deal to exchange over 1,000 Palestinian prisoners for kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Schalit was not the last of its kind.

"The Schalit deal won't be the last; it is rather the beginning," Othman said according to Hamas affiliate Al Resalah.

Othman said Egypt was committed to working for the freedom of the remaining Palestinian prisoners serving time in Israeli jails and congratulated the Palestinian people on the exchange, Al Resalah reported.
