Egyptian actor Khaled Nabawy faced an inquiry by the Egyptian actor's union on Tuesday after he was photographed hugging Israeli actress Liraz Charhi on a red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, according to the Arabic-English website

The two actors appear together in the Hollywood film
Fair Game.
Nabawy has been described as "the next Omar Sharif," a reference to the legendary Egyptian actor who was also a Hollywood star.
