Eight explosions heard in Libyan capital Tripoli

TRIPOLI - Eight explosions were heard in the east of the Libyan capital Tripoli on Wednesday evening and smoke was seen rising into the night sky, local residents told Reuters.
"We heard four explosions, then after five minutes we heard four more," said a resident of the eastern Tajoura neighborhood. "We saw smoke and fire afterwards."
Another local resident backed up the account. Several distant thuds were heard by Reuters reporters in central Tripoli.
