Eight injured, one moderately, in Lod apartment fire

Eight people were injured in a fire that broke out early Thursday morning in a seventh-floor apartment in Lod. Firefighters rescued a number of people who were trapped in the apartment and were able to control the fire.
One person was moderately injured and another seven lightly injured from smoke inhalation, among them a one-year-old baby and a four year old. Magen David Adom paramedics evacuated all of the injured to Asaf Harofe Medical Center
