Einstein archives website a ‘hit’ in first week

During the first five days after the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s expanded Albert Einstein Archives website opened on March 19, it recorded over 21 million "hits" and 650,000 unique visitors from around the world, HU said on Wednesday.
The site, at www.alberteinstein.info, has had visitors from some 160 countries, including Arab nations. The site contains a catalog of more than 80,000 Einstein-related documents, and a visual display of 2,000 documents up to the year 1921, with more digitized documents to follow.
The Jewish genius and theoretical physicist was a founder and one of its most loyal supporters of the university, which in his will was bequeathed all of his writings and intellectual property.
