El Al cancels flights to NYC due to Hurricane Sandy

As Hurricane Sandy began to make its way toward America’s East Coast, El Al Israel Airlines cancelled flights to the region out of Ben Gurion International Airport on Monday.
El Al cancelled two flights out of Israel to New York City on Monday evening – LY001 and LY027 – as well as Tuesday’s LY007 flight in anticipation of the storm. The airline likewise cancelled three flights scheduled to fly from New York to Israel – LY002, LY008 and LY028.
Passengers scheduled for these flights who wish to change their flight dates will be able to do so without a change fee, the company said.
