El Al to increase Far Eastern operations this month

El Al Israeli Airlines announced on Monday that it would be expanding its operations to the Far East before the end of the month.
Starting October 31, the company will be flying an additional flight a week to Honk Kong, Beijing and Mumbai and extending the capacity of flights to Bangkok.
Under the new schedule, there will be a total of 19 weekly flights from Ben Gurion Airport to the Far East: five to Hong Kong, four to Beijing, four to Mumbai and five to Bangkok.
“El Al’s routes to the Far East are very popular among both businesspeople and tourists. In light of the high demands from the business sector, we have decided to augment our flight schedule to those destinations,” said El Al deputy director general in charge of commercial and aviation connections Eli Cohen.
