Electricity company: Repair work on power outages continues

Electrical company crews continued to repair malfunctions and damage caused by the recent storm, according to a statement by the Israel Electric Company on Monday.
Malfunctions were caused by trees, branches and other foreign objects falling on power lines and electrical networks.
The company said falling trees caused heavy damage to the electrical power grid and required extremely complex repair work.
Most of the electricity problems experienced on Saturday and Sunday have been fixed and power has been restored to thousands of customers.
The company added that it prefers dealing with damage that requires intricate repair work such as torn power lines and distancing customers from harm. Response times by repair crews have also been delayed by traffic congestion in the larger cities.
Repair crews continued to address hundreds of power outages which have hit customers for several hours.
