Erekat: There is no Israeli partner for peace right now

Palestinian Authority chief negotiator Saeb Erekat on Monday said that the parameters of a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians are known, but there is "no partner to make a decision in Israel." Erekat's comments came during a Geneva Initiative conference attended by Yossi Beilin and former French foreign minister Bernard Kouchner.
"The maps and the positions have been exchanged, not only in the Geneva initiative but also between [Palestinian Authority President] Abbas and [former prime minister Ehud] Olmert," Erekat stated. "We do not need negotiations today, we need decisions. There is no need to start from the beginning and there is no need to invent the wheel," he stated.
