Executive board endorses decision against IBA pay rises

The Executive Board of the Israel Broadcasting Authority on Tuesday endorsed the decision by IBA director general Moti Sklaar not to approve any pay rises for IBA employees.
The Executive Board called on all IBA staff to identify with their place of employment and to join in the struggle to ensure that the IBA is not closed down.
Last week Sklaar asked people on personal contracts to take a pay cut.
Meanwhile, close to a hundred people demonstrated at Beit Sokolov, the headquarters of the National Union of Israel Journalists and the Tel Aviv Journalists Association in an effort to prevent the closure of the IBA and to safeguard it from politicization.
