Firefighters rescued an approximately two-year child from a burning apartment building in Ashdod on Tuesday after she had been left alone.
The toddler suffered slight injuries from smoke inhalation and was treated on the scene.
Police were investigating the girl's parents, Eritrean residents, for possible negligence in the affair.
