FM: Arab world's criticism a distraction from its failures

Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman said Friday that criticism in the Arab world of Israel's operations against Hamas in the Gaza Strip are attempts to divert attention from the failings of Arab leaders.
"This is an attempt to divert [attention] toward Israel," Liberman told Channel 2.
Liberman also took aim at Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, accusing him of "diplomatic terrorism" to complement Hamas's violent terrorism. Abbas was the first to call for an Arab League meeting over Operation Pillar of Defense, the foreign minister said, recalling the accusations of ethnic cleansing Abbas leveled at Israel during his speech to the UN General Assembly two months ago.
