Foreign Ministry criticizes UNHRC flotilla c'tee

The Foreign Ministry strongly criticized the UN Human Rights Council's appointment of a committee of international experts to investigate the May 31 Israeli raid on a Gaza-bound aid ship in which nine pro-Palestinian activists were killed.
The statement released by the Foreign Ministry said that an international committee was unnecessary and came as part of the UN's "continuing obsession" with Israel.
The statement added that the internal Israeli investigation into the flotilla raid led by the Turkel Committee is sufficient and completely transparent to the UN.
