Foreign Ministry diplomatic employees renew work dispute

The Foreign Ministry’s diplomatic employees workers’ committee renewed its work dispute last week, aiming to make the diplomatic staff’s pay and conditions comparable to that of Defense Ministry and Mossad employees.
According to representatives of the worker’s committee, the Foreign Ministry’s management and the Treasury have not held negotiations with them since the dispute was first declared in February.
According to a statement issued by the committee, as a result of the sanctions ministry employees will not prepare the visits abroad of government ministers, including Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s planned visit to Washington next week. The diplomatic committee is threatening to gradually step up their sanctions if their demands are not met.
