MajorEuropean cities have similar successful programs where residents and visitorscan rent a bike from one station and return it to another.

TheIsrael Bicycle Association praised the plan's approval and pointed out that theapproval of a correction to the Helmet Law for a first reading in the Knessettook the plan out of the deep freeze it had been in for the last two years. Thecorrection would leave wearing a helmet up to the discretion of the adultrider. Children, intercity and off-road riders would still have to wear ahelmet whenever they got on a bike.
