'Ganot suitable dir-gen. for Public Security Ministry'

Kadima MK Avi Dichter rejected criticism of Yaakov Ganot in an interview with Israel Radio on Monday, saying he believes Ganot is an appropriate candidate for director general of the Public Security Ministry. He has already held similar positions, the latest as director-general of the Ministry of Transportation.

Officials surrounding Minister of Public Security Aharonovitch said that it is possible that he would back down from the appointment Ganot to Director-General of the Public Security Ministry due to public criticism of the move.

Meanwhile, Minister of Transportation Yisrael Katz began looking for a new Director General for the Ministry of Transportation after Ganot resigned from the position earlier this week.
