Gilat denies media reports about major changes at IBA

Seeking to squash rumors and media reports about major upheavals at the Israel Broadcasting Authority, IBA chairman Amir Gilat told the IBA executive board this week that no changes will occur before some time in 2012.
All the stories about dismissals, demotions, favoritism and efforts to silence reporters are untrue he said.
As for changes, they will not be made by any one person but as an outcome of group consultation and decisions when working out the new program line-up for next year said Gilat.
For the time being, he emphasized, the status quo will remain.
