Haifa: Bus driver dies from injuries in traffic accident

A bus driver, 58, died Friday as a result of his injuries after an accident with a truck at the Toreen Intersection in the Lower Galilee.

Paramedics rushed the injured driver, who was in critical condition, to Rambam Hospital in Haifa where he succumbed to his wounds.

At least 40 passengers on the bus, most of whom were Nigerian tourists en route to Ben-Guiron International Airport, were injured lightly but refused to receive medical treatment.

The truck driver was also lightly injured as a result of the accident.
