Haifa restaurant won't serve uniformed personnel

The Azad Restaurant in Haifa refuses to serve IDF soldiers in uniform, Channel 10 reported on Thursday.
The ban on uniformed soldiers was revealed after soldiers who were refused service turned to the channel.
The restaurant, owned by Israeli Arabs, said there is no special ban on IDF soldiers, but a general ban on any uniformed diners, since the appearance in uniform hurts the restaurant’s ambiance.
The restaurant’s owners have received several anonymous letters threatening to set fire to the place or otherwise harm. They refuse to back down from the ban. According to the report, several Haifa residents were checking whether the ban was illegal and the municipality may be asked to force the establishment to allow uniformed diners to eat there.
