Hanegbi: Livni could've been PM, Netanyahu defense minister

Tzipi Livni would have taken over as prime minister on April 1 of this year had she accepted a rotation agreement Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu offered her when he was trying to form a coalition after the 2009 election, according to a draft of the deal revealed Wednesday by Ma'ariv.
According to the deal, Netanyahu would have been prime minister and Livni foreign minister for the term's first three years. Livni would have moved into the Prime Minister's residence for the term's final year and a half while Netanyahu would have have been defense minister. The deal was revealed by its broker, former minister Tzachi Hanegbi, who was in Kadima at the time and is now in Likud.
