Herzog to PM: 'Welfare portfolio is not a sexy field'

Outgoing Welfare and Social Services Minister Isaac Herzog on Tuesday criticized Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu for taking control over the welfare portfolio instead of appointing a replacement, saying: "Netanyahu has announced he has decided to leave the welfare portfolio in his hands. I'm telling you, prime minister, this is not a sexy field."
During a speech at the Welfare Ministry, Herzog said, "Addressing Israel's social problems requires hard work. It should be paid attention to every day and hour from the ground up, seriously and persistently."
