High Court postpones arrest of 22 Emmanuel mothers

The High Court of Justice on Thursday night postponed the implementation of arrest warrants for 22 mothers from Emmanuel who did not show up for their two-week jail terms.
The mothers were to be jailed for contempt of court over discriminatory practices at the Emmanuel Beit Ya’acov girls school. 35 men were brought to Ma’asiyahu Prison near Ramle on the same charges. But the mothers failed to present themselves and were said to have gone into hiding.
Justice Edmund Levy ruled that the arrests be postponed until further discussion at court.
