Holocaust film "Shoah" to be broadcast in Persian

Claude Lansmann's 1985 film "Shoah" will be dubbed in Persian and broadcasted from the private Pars channel, located in Los Angeles, to Persian audiences worldwide, including in Iran, Israel Radio reported Tuesday. The broadcast was organized by the Paris-based group Aladdin Project, which seeks to establish better understanding between Jews and Muslims.

Though satellite TV dishes are illegal in Iran, the enforcement is patchy, and as such Persian viewers in Iran may be able to watch the film.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has consistently disregarded the Holocaust as a myth and tactical ploy on Israel's behalf to garner international support.
