Holon: Police bring down biker after failed assassination

Police managed to bring down a 19-year-old motorcyclist Saturday overnight they believe was involved in a failed assassination attempt in the city of Holon.
After receiving phone calls from residents reporting a number of gunshots, police dispatched law enforcement officers to the scene.
They arrived after what initial investigations have revealed was a failed assassination attempt on a passenger in a taxi cab.
Police tried to flag the motorcyclist, who was carrying a second passenger, down, but the driver instead turned his vehicle and began speeding at one of the officers on the scene.
Police fired shots towards the bike, and hit the driver in the leg. He fell from the bike, and his friend fled the scene on foot.
The driver suffered moderate injuries in his leg and from the fall, and was taken to the Wolfson Medical Center in Holon for treatment before the investigation continues.
