Hurvitz laid to rest, daughter slams medical treatment

Former Teva Pharmaceuticals CEO Eli Hurvitz was laid to rest at Kibbutz Givat Hashlosha on Thursday afternoon. Hurvitz passed away on Monday at the age of 79 after a long battle with cancer.
Dr. Vered Shalev-Hurvitz critisized the medical treatment her father received at Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer, where he died on Monday after having been hospitilized there since Novemebr 13.
Speaking at her father's funeral, Army Radio quoted Shalev Hurvitz as saying she had seen "the ugly side" of Israel in his final days.
"Your situation got worse and worse during long hours of waiting for a doctor to come to the department. You received insults and threats from a heartless nurse," she stated.
Sheba Medical Center denied the claims, saying that Hurvitz received "humane and professional" care during his time at the hospital, according to the Army Radio report.
