IAF strikes Gaza rocket cell, kills three

IAF warplanes stuck a rocket-launching cell in the central Gaza Strip that was in the final stages of preparing to launch projectiles into Israel Wednesday night, the IDF Spokesman's Office said.

Palestinian medical officials and witnesses confirmed that three militants had been killed in the attack near Bureij, in central Gaza. They did not immediately give the dead men's factional affiliation but said they did not belong to Hamas.

The rocket-launching cell was involved in previous attacks on southern Israel, the IDF said. The statement added that the strikes were successful in hitting the cell and preventing the rocket launches.
