IDF attache to Russia arrested, expelled for alleged spying

IDF attache and Defense Ministry representative to Russia, Col. Vadim Liderman was detained last week by Russian authorities on suspicions of espionage.
His term was scheduled to end in July but he was expelled and returned to Israel on Monday.
Liderman was interrogated and given a polygraph exam by the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency.) The investigation showed that Liderman was not guilty of collecting secret, sensitive information for Israel as the Russian authorities had claimed.
