IDF soldier critically injured in Golan Heights exercise

An IDF soldier was critically injured during a joint exercise involving infantry units and armored corps in the Golan Heights on Monday morning, according to the IDF Spokesman's Office.

The soldier received first aid treatment on the scene before being evacuated to Rambam Medical Center in Haifa.

The soldier's family was informed of the incident.

IDF sources said that the soldier suffered the injury as a result of being run over by a tank. The exercise was canceled pending an investigation.
