IDF soldier moderately injured in Jordan Valley exercise

An IDF soldier sustained moderate injures during a Paratroopers company exercise in the Jordan Valley on Sunday.
The drill included live fire, and the soldier was hurt in the knee by shapnel from a bullet, the IDF said.
He was airlifted to the Hadassah Medical Center at Ein Kerem, Jerusalem in the helicopter of IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz, who had been visiting the site of the exercise at the time.
Gantz ordered the drill to be put on hold, pending the results of an investigation into the training accident, in line with safety protocols.
