IFCJ sends monetary aid to Jews of Kyrgyzstan

The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (IFCJ) on Thursday sent monetary aid to Jews trapped in politically unstable Kyrgyzstan, where the opposition overthrew the government on Wednesday following a series of violent protests.
Rabbi Yehiel Eckstein approved the special budget. Rabbi Aryeh Reichman, a representative of a Jewish organization headed by Lev Leviev, is currently in the country, trying to contact Jews.
There are about 2,000 Jews living in Kyrgyzstan, most of them in the capital, Bishkek.
