IMI suspends activity after employee killed in weapons test

Israel Military Industries CEO Avi Felder suspended all of the company’s experiments on Sunday after an employee was killed during the testing of ammunition at an IDF base in northern Israel.
Felder appointed Brig.-Gen. (res.) Zvi Fuchs, IMI’s VP for Strategic Affairs, to lead the company’s inquiry into the accident. The IDF and Israel Police are also investigating the shooting.
The employee was shot by light ammunition during a routine weapons test at the Elyakim Training Base in the North.
