Intel to invest in technology at Israeli high schools

The Intel chip maker corporation is to invest $5 million in a joint cooperation with the Education Ministry aimed at promoting education in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in Israeli high schools.
The announcement was made during the visit of Chief Executive Officer and President of Intel, Paul Otellini, this week. Otellini stated: "We want to invest wisely and to strengthen the Israeli economy."
Part of the investment will be devoted to the Education Ministry's plan to double the number of students who graduate from high school with a high school diploma in technology or science.
