Iranian authorities shut down Swedish cosmetics company

STOCKHOLM — Swedish cosmetics company Oriflame Cosmetics SA said Monday that Iranian authorities closed down its operation in Tehran and detained three of its staff members.
The company said the reason for the raid wasn't disclosed. Two sales consultants were also detained.
Oriflame's Chief Financial Officer Gabriel Bennet Monday said he believes Iranian authorities dislike the company's business model of giving women the opportunity to work as direct sales consultant.
He said the company hopes to continue selling its products in Iran but that the business climate in Iran has deteriorated in recent months.
