Iranian opposition leaders on Sunday accused the government of trying to destroy the reform movement, according to a Reuters report. A statement posted on the Web site of opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi claimed that authorities were "paving the way for unconventional methods" by accusing reformers of insulting the late revolutionary leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. The statement went on to urge all opposition supporters "to be fully alert and keep themselves updated about the latest developments."
