Islamic Jihad member: We'll continue to fire rockets

Hours after reports surfaced Sunday that the Islamic Jihad movement had vowed to cease firing rockets at Israel, a high-ranking member of the group told a Palestinian Web site that the organization's military wing would "continue to use rockets according to the circumstances on the ground."
The official said the firing of rockets was a method of "resistance" against Israel. Channel 2 reported that he also vowed to kidnap more IDF soldiers in order to secure the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails.
The movement's spokesman, Daoud Shihab, had told its official radio station in an interview conducted earlier on Sunday that the group had stopped firing rockets due to the need to lift the Gaza blockade and alleviate the Palestinians' suffering. According to Israel Radio, his remarks were later removed from the radio station's Web site.
