Israel Beiteinu MK: Strict sanctions will stop Iran threat

Israel Beiteinu MK Moshe Matalon said on Tuesday that only strict economic sanctions, including on its oil industry and central bank, will stop Iran's nuclear program.
Matalon, who made the comments following the release of the UN nuclear agency's report on Tehran's ongoing nuclear program, said such sanctions must include a ban on international trade with the Islamic republic and a complete boycott of its oil and petroleum industries.
Matalon also urged a boycott of Iran's Central Bank, a move the United States has considered but backed away from facing international pressure.
Such measures, Matalon said, would "lead to the paralysis of the Islamic Republic and will erase the Iranian nuclear threat."
