Israel confirms PM, Fayyad meeting to happen after Passover

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will meet a Palestinian Authority delegation led by PA Prime Minister Salam Fayyad after the Passover holiday, a senior diplomatic official confirmed on Israel Radio Wednesday.

Earlier, an adviser to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, Nimr Hammad, told Palestinian radio that Fayyad would bring a letter from Abbas to Netanyahu concerning the stalled peace process.

That letter will explain the PA's position vis a vis restarting direct peace negotiations, including the unwillingness of the PA to enter into talks in light of continued settlement activity, and Israel's obligation to international agreements, Nimr Hammad told Palestinian radio.
