Israel Electric Corp.: Minimize use of electricity

The Israel Electric Corporation on Wednesday asked consumers to cut-down on the use of electrical appliances between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. due to extreme heat across the country.
The use of appliances such as dishwashers, laundry machines, baking ovens, electrical stoves, water heaters and vacuums should be minimized, and air conditioning units should be set to 25 degrees Celsius.
The company explained that power outages may occur if there is a high use of electricity.
The demand for electricity is expected to break the record Wednesday due to soaring temperatures.
