Israel, Kenya sign domestic security pact

Israel and Kenya signed a domestic security pact in Jerusalem on Sunday that will see the two countries cooperate on counter-terrorism, crime fighting and efforts to curb drug smuggling.
The agreement was signed after seven months of planning, the Public Security Ministry in Israel said.
"I welcome this breakthrough and hope to see more cooperation between the countries," Public Security Minister Yitzhak Ahronovitch said.
Ahronovitch signed the agreement with his Kenyan counterpart George Kinuthia Saitoti, as Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman looked on.
The agreement will see the security forces of Israel and Kenya share technological means to enhance their joint efforts.
It comes amid reports of a new push for cooperation between Israel and African states that feel threatened by radical Islamism.
