Israel Prison Service prepared to carry out logistics of release of 26 Palestinian prisoners

The Israel Prison Service is prepared to carry out the logistics of the release of 26 security prisoners set to be freed in the coming days, a spokesman for the IPS said on Sunday.
Deputy Commissioner Itzik Gorlov said Sunday that the IPS still does not know which prisoners will be released but as soon as the list is approved by the cabinet they will upload it in full to the IPS website. He added that in the meantime they have not begun prepping or moving the security inmates ahead of their release, being that they do not know who it will include.
When asked if the IPS is ready logistically to carry out the release he said that "on a daily basis we transport over 1,200 prisoners around the country, this is something we can carry out", adding that it pales in comparison to the logistical needs of carrying out the release of over 1,000 prisoners under the Gilad Shalit prisoner release.
