Israel Project non-profit announces new CEO and president

The Israel Project (TIP), a pro- Israel advocacy group based in Washington, announced on Thursday that Josh Block will be its new executive head.
“The Israel Project is thrilled to have found its next CEO and president,” said Lennert Leader, chairman of TIP’s board of directors. “Josh is a gifted leader with strong credentials whose record of pro-Israel advocacy in many different arenas will provide TIP with exactly what it needs.”
Prior to taking the lead at TIP, Block worked as spokesman and director of strategic communications at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
He also worked at a Washington- based think tank, started his own consulting firm and worked for the Democratic party during the Clinton administration.
“The Israel Project is a global leader in providing facts, unique research and policy insight to the media, policymakers, diplomats and the general public on issues vital to the US-Israel relationship, Middle East policy and Israel’s place in the world,” Block said following the announcement of his appointment.
A number of senior US politicians, among them Rep. Steve Rothman (D-New Jersey) and Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Illinois), congratulated TIP over Block’s appointment.
