Israel sends tents to Albania to help with floods

A week after turning to the international community for help putting out the Carmel Forest fire, Israel extended assistance of its own Thursday, sending some 300 tents to Albania to help that country deal with the worst floods there in half a century.

Mashav, the Foreign Ministry's Center for International Cooperation, answered calls to the international community from the Albanian government and NATO, and sent the tents to help temporarily house people forced to leave their homes.
