Israel to expel German partner of slain gay youth

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israel said it is expelling the German partner of an Israeli killed in a shooting at a community center in Tel Aviv.
A masked gunman opened fire in 2009 at a meeting of gay and lesbian youth, killing two. Police are still searching for the assailant.
Thomas Schmidt, 27, was in the process of registering himself as the partner of an Israeli citizen when his partner, Nir Katz, was killed.
