The body of Omri Lahad, a 23-year-old Rosh Pina resident, was identified in Peru on Tuesday.
Lahad, who went missing about a month ago, had apparently died from a snake bike.
Although his body was found almost a month ago near the Brazilian border, it was only identified after a photograph was circulated around Peru.
Israeli representatives in Peru were organizing for his remains to be returned.
