Italy's Berlusconi says he was against Libya war

ROME - Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi said on Thursday he had opposed the decision by western powers led by France and Britain to go to war in Libya but had been forced to go along with a decision by parliament.
"I was against this measure as everyone knows," Berlusconi told a book presentation, adding that he had been forced to go along with a decision by the Italian parliament.
"I had my hands tied by the vote of the parliament of my country," he said.
